Hotel Coordinator/Lodging Reservations: Babe Ruth League, Inc. has contracted with local hotels to insure enough room blocks are available for the tournaments this summer and has designated a “Hotel Coordinator” for the Florida State Chamionship, the SE Regonial Championships, the Xtreme Nationals, and the World Series. All lodging reservations for the Xtreme Nationals MUST be initiated through the Hotel Coordinator and confirmed prior to acceptance of TEAM REGISTRATION. Brackets and Blind Draw: There will be a public blind draw meeting at Pineapple Park. This meeting will be conducted by Doug Robinson and Mike Cusimano, the Florida State Commissioner and State Tournament Director respectively. The meeting date & time will be updated soon. Representatives from participating teams are welcome to attend, but it is not necessary to attend. Online Team Registration: Team Manager, and Team Parent contact information are captured on the online form. Click the Registration link to complete the form. Please make sure you have all the required information before filling out the form, including your team home park information. All the data will be used to produce the Tournament Program, the Brackets, and help organize the Opening Ceremonies. Please complete this task thoroughly – and do it ASAP. Please have your online Team Registration completed by midnight, Wednesday July 15th. Team Registration is open now. Click on the Team Registration Link page. Team Tournament Fee: Team Fee $300 There will be a $5 per day or $15 for the full four days gate pass for all spectators. Kids 5 and under will be free. Sign – Up for Text and Email Alerts: We will using text messaging to alert you to weather conditions and changes in scheduling. The alerts will also direct you to check the web site for the latest news. There are times when weather forces the suspension of games when you must seek shelter, often to your cars. Some of those times, you will be asked to not leave the park, just in case play can resume. If you have signed up for TEXT AND EMAIL ALERTS, you will receive via text, the message to either return to your field or that you can leave the park. Team Gift Bag Exchange: Each year at the Babe Ruth Championships, teams bring gift bags that are exchanged with another team. This tradition will continue with the Babe Ruth Xtreme Nationals. Please prepare gift bags with items that might represent where your team is from, a special interest, or your own team colors… You can even make what you bring. Have fun, be creative. You’ll be exchanging your bags with girls from the same age-division, likely just after your first game. Teams can have as many as fifteen (15) players, so make sure you’ve prepared enough bags. The gift bag exchange schedule will be found on the tournament home page a few days before the start of the tournament. Team Tents: Please DO NOT place tents next to any fence that is directly behind home plate… that area is reserved for scorekeepers. Otherwise, just make sure your tent isn’t in the way of people needing to get by. Team Coolers Only: Yes, it will be hot. We understand the need to keep the girls fully hydrated. You are encouraged to bring team coolers for the dugout so the girls are well taken care of. However, the host is counting on the revenue generated by the purchase of food and drink during the tournament. You will find our prices fair and we are being well stocked with soft drinks, sport drinks, and water. Sorry, no Dogs: No dogs are allowed at Pineapple Park. Serive dogs are always allowed!
Tournament Programs: This year’s program will be available for purchase throughout the park. It will contain all team photos (the ones you need to get in ASAP), letters from Tournament officials, Team Shout-Outs, Contact Info, and Opening Ceremonies Info details. Programs can be purchased at the gate for $10. Team Photo: We need your Team Photo for the Tournament Program. Once you registered please attach your Team Photo to an email addressed to : tcaasports@gmail.com Please indicate your Team Name, Age-Division, and all Player and Coach Names – top row, middle row, bottom row… left to right. Do this ASAP. Schedule Organization: Tournament will be set up with all teams arriving on Wednesday July 22nd for orientation and opening ceremonies. Games begin on Thursday July 23rd, Elimination games will start on Saturday July 25th and Championship games will be on Sunday July 26th. Area hotels have made special arrangements and pricing for teams coming for the tournament. They want you to maximize your stay. Local Chambers of Commerce want you you to stay all weekend and enjoy the various attractions of Martin County. **Please note all teams will have a 6 game guarantee Raffle Tickets: Everyone will opportunity to purchase a $10 raffle ticket to win a 2015 Ford Escape from Sunrise Ford. The car will present at the event for everyone to see. The winner will be drawn at the Softball World Series on August 12th. You do not have to be present to win. Tickets can be purchased throughout the park and at the gate entrance. |
