ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BOARD EMERITUS

The Board Emeritus assists with the shaping and direction of the Babe Ruth program to benefit every youngster who wishes to participate.

Douglas Belcher

Doug Belche ris from Arcadia, California, and serves as President of the San Gabriel Valley Babe Ruth League and as a Southern California District Commissioner.

Rick Legue
Rick Legue is the Relationship Manager for Nationwide Insurance out of Columbus, Ohio. He oversees the National Affinity Solutions program that offers quality insurance at special rates to the Babe Ruth League membership.

Scott McGregor
Scott McGregor, who currently resides in Sarasota, Florida, is a graduate of the Babe Ruth program and a former Major League player with the Baltimore Orioles. His Babe Ruth team participated in the 1969 Babe Ruth 13-15 World Series, where he was named the Most Valuable Player.

Bobby Richardson

Bobby Richardsonis a former second baseman who played for the New York Yankees from 1955 through 1966. He won five Gold Gloves at second base and racked up 1,423 hits in his career, with a lifetime batting average of .266, 34 home runs and 390 RBIs. He currently resides in Sumter, South Carolina.

Jon Savage
A graduate of the Babe Ruth program, Jon Savage is the head baseball coach at UCLA. As head coach, he has established the Bruins as a national championship contender. Savage's players at UCLA have seen success in the Major League Draft and in professional baseball. Aside from making strides on the field, Savage and his coaching staff have found success on the recruiting trail. Each of his recruiting classes have been nationally ranked in the top-20 by Baseball America.

Alan Swaim

Alan Swaim of Van Buren, Arkansas, played Babe Ruth Baseball in the 1960's. Since his playing days, he has served in many positions for Babe Ruth League over the past 30 years. He is most recognized for bringing the Babe Ruth World Series to Van Buren. Under his leadership, Van Buren has hosted several successful World Series.

J. Michael Thompson
Mike Thompson serves as Vice President of Sports Marketing and Business Development for Rawlings in St. Louis, Missouri. Rawlings has been a longtime partner of Babe Ruth League and serves as the organization's official helmet, as well as the official tournament baseball and softball.
