Frank Stapleton

1972

Frank Stapleton was instrumental in getting Babe Ruth Baseball going in Oregon. In 1954 he coached the Garden Home Team.  Although he quit coaching, he was the District 5 District Director and elevated it from a 4 to 12 league district tournament affair.

He is also credited with helping the Oregon Program get healthy through his money raising efforts and constant persistence in the state to upgrade every facet of the program.

He was constantly participating in every National Tournament and always had there with willing hands and feet to lend assistance where needed.

Mr. Frank Stapleton was posthumously inducted into the Babe Ruth Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.
