Del Schrader served as served as the editor, reporter, photographer, publisher and ad salesman for the "Diamond Dust" California State Newspaper acclaimed as one of the best publications of its kind. He was the Southern California State Publicity Director for more than 10 years.
He was involved with the Babe Ruth League Program for 17 years and spent 12 years on the Southern California State Board. He established, organized, and directed Southern California Babe Ruth Baseball's "Friends in the Press " awards to recognize sports reporters that have contributed to their baseball program.
Del Schrader was inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame in 1975.
