Babe Ruth League President/CEO, Steve Tellefsen said, "Al Caruso has been involved with our program for over 25 years.  He is a very dedicated volunteer that has played a major role in the success the organization enjoys today.  It is a proud moment to have a person of his caliber inducted into the Hall of Fame."

Al was a proud district director, and assistant commissioner for the state of New Jersey during his 25 years of involvement. He was the founder, and president, of the Bayshore League. Bayshore's 13 year olds were district champs 13 of 14 years. Their 14-15's won the district title 10 of 12 years. Although it's not always about the number of wins, but the high quality of the organization of the league. Bayshore always conformed to the necessary paperwork, meetings, hosting tournaments, and was always cooperative with Babe Ruth structure. Al Caruso gave a lifelong service to Babe Ruth.
