Welcome to the 2022 Heart of the Babe national program that provides you, our Babe Ruth League Coaches, the opportunity to recognize and celebrate that one special player on each of your teams, who embodies the values and qualities of the legendary Babe Ruth and of the Babe Ruth League Organization.
In the inaugural 2021 season, there were almost 1,000 players recognized by their coaches for their Determination and Never Giving Up!
The HOTB recognition program is not intended to be a popularity contest nor a platform to showcase the best athlete on your team, nor even the season MVP…unless of course, they demonstrate, by their actions and attitude, that very special characteristic of “Never Giving Up.”
The Heart of the Babe recognition program is open to every registered player on every team, across all Babe Ruth League Divisions.
Sign-ups to begin March 1st.
Once you’re officially signed up, you can introduce the HOTB program to your team’s parents and players at your first team meeting at the beginning of the season. To help explain the program, you’ll be provided a one sheet on the program’s criteria. We encourage you to use this opportunity to inspire and motivate your players to be their personal best throughout the regular season of play.
When you’ve chosen your team’s HOTB player, log into your account and submit the winning player’s name and parent’s email and contact information, and print your winner certificate.
Winner recognition can occur at your team’s end of season family event. Share your Heart of the Babe recipient presentation on social media for a chance to win your player a commemorative item!
Each winner will receive an official Babe Ruth League HOTB recognition certificate.
Some selected winners may be asked to share their stories on BRL social media.
HOTB Kick Off. Time to get your players engaged.
Time to narrow down whom on your team possesses The Heart of the Babe!
Time to submit your winner.
DEADLINE to submit your winner.
