ROBERT CONNOR PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT/COMMISSIONER

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ…Babe Ruth League, Inc. has announced the promotion of Robert A. Connor to Vice President/Commissioner. Connor began his professional employment with Babe Ruth League, Inc. in 2006 as Commissioner.  In 12 years, he has worked very closely with the Headquarters Staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers to promote the growth of Babe Ruth League and has earned the respect of the youth sports industry.

“This promotion reflects the outstanding job Rob does for the program,” said Steven Tellefsen, President/CEO for Babe Ruth League, Inc.  “His passion for Babe Ruth League has not only resulted in growth of leagues and teams, but also in the development of many additional resources and technological advances for our commissioners and leagues.  His increased range of responsibilities and innovative vision will continue to enhance the strategic direction and growth of the Babe Ruth League program.”

Connor is a resident of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and attended Pennsylvania State University.  Before beginning his employment with Babe Ruth League, Connor volunteered as League President for the Cherry Hill Youth Athletic Association Babe Ruth League and served as Host President for the 2005 Babe Ruth Softball 12U World Series.  Because of his excellent work as a volunteer, he was awarded the 2005 Babe Ruth Softball Volunteer of the Year Award.

Connor is looking forward to the challenges of his new role.  “Babe Ruth League is the program where the player comes first,” said Connor.  Because youth are our #1 priority, our goal is to offer the best customer service to our leagues and volunteers.  We are here to serve, help and make sure that everybody reaps the many benefits that come from participating in the Babe Ruth program.”

Babe Ruth League, Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to developing better citizens by providing properly supervised baseball and softball competition for 4 through 18-year-old players.  It is the basic intent of Babe Ruth League that every player who has a desire to play the sport is given the opportunity to participate and have fun.
