Babe Ruth League, Inc. is excited to announce the addition of four World Series to the Cal Ripken Baseball post-season tournament trail that will provide more players with the opportunity to participate in a once in a lifetime experience.
The first Cal Ripken 8-Year-Old Player Pitch; 8-Year-Old Machine Pitch; 9-Year-Old and 11/70 World Series will be played in Jensen Beach, Florida, August 7-12, 2018, with the championship round of games taking place on Sunday, August 12. Participating teams will arrive on Monday, August 6, and depart on Monday, August 13.
To qualify for these World Series, teams must play to completion in their respective tournament trail. The 8-Year-Old Player Pitch; 8-Year-Old Machine Pitch; 9-Year-Old and 11/70 Baseball World Series is open to all teams upon elimination from their respective tournament trail. State Champions and teams advancing to the Regional Tournaments must take part in the Regional Tournament. State Champions and Regional Champions will have first consideration to participate in the World Series. Each age group has openings for 15 teams.
All participating teams will be responsible for the arrangements and expense of their travel and lodging for the World Series. All teams are guaranteed (3) three games, and all teams will advance to a single elimination round. Teams eliminated from the single elimination round will have an opportunity to participate in the Iron Man Bracket. The Iron Man Bracket will provide medals for 1st and 2nd place. All games will be streamed.
