Ed Hunt was the lifeblood of Babe Ruth Baseball in Stamford, Connecticut. His 60 years of experience and knowledge as an athlete, coach, and city recreation director were instrumental in his ability to spur life into the program and avoid the program staggering and becoming extinct.
He fathered the 13-15 and 16-18 programs in Stamford and he eventually they hosted the 1971 Babe Ruth Baseball 16-18 Tournament of Champions.
Edward J. Hunt was inducted into the Babe Ruth League Hall of Fame in 1971.
