Donald L. Edwards
Babe Ruth League President/CEO Steven Tellefsen said, "Don Edwards has been involved with our program for over 40 years. He is a very dedicated volunteer and plays a major role in the success the organization enjoys today. It is a proud moment to have a person of his caliber inducted into the Hall of Fame."
Don Edwards started in Babe Ruth Baseball in 1956 as a manager in the Moundbuilders Babe Ruth League - a position held for seven years. Don was elected President of the Moundbuilders Babe Ruth League in 1963, a position he held throughout 1997. He has also been honored as a lifetime Board Member of the Local Babe Ruth League in Ohio, and the field the league uses is now named Donald Edwards Park in his honor. Edwards served as Host President of the 1977 Babe Ruth World Series and proceeded to serve as Host President for eight additional World Series hosted by Newark, Ohio. Don served 11 years as Ohio State Commissioner and was the recipient of the honorable "Lefty" Gomez Volunteer of the Year Award.
