Russel Diethrick
Babe Ruth League President/CEO Steven Tellefsen said, "Russel Diethrick has been involved with our program for over 40 years. He is a very dedicated volunteer and plays a major role in the success the organization enjoys today. It is a proud moment to have a person of his caliber inducted into the Hall of Fame."
It all started very generic, as a hometown, Jamestown, Babe Ruth League manager in the 1950's. As the Babe Ruth Program grew, so did Diethrick's positions' in NY Babe Ruth. He became an official member of the NY state International Babe Ruth Board of Directors.
As the years passed, Russel's interests shifted to hosting Regional and World Series Tournaments throughout the 70's and 80's. He hosted anywhere from the 13 year old prep division, to the 13-15, and 16-18's.
Diethrick's reputation in the Babe Ruth Program earned him an Advisory position on the National Board of the Babe Ruth League in the 1990's.
