Ernest Papazoglou

Babe Ruth League President/CEO Ron Tellefsen said, "Ernie was involved in Babe Ruth League, Inc. for close to 30 years.  He was a truly dedicated volunteer and played a major role in the success of Babe Ruth Baseball on all levels."

Papazoglou started in the Babe Ruth program in 1967 as a team manager.  He served as League President from 1970-1974 when he became a District Director.  In 1975, Papazoglou was elected State Commissioner for the 16-18 Division, and from 1976 to 1978 served as Section Commissioner of the New England Region for the 16-18 Division.  In 1979, he was elected the New England Regional Commissioner (automatically making him a member of the International Board of Directors), which was a position he held until 1996.  Mr. Papazoglou also served on the Task Force for many Babe Ruth World Series, and served as a World Series Tournament Director in 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1997.

Papazoglou's business career spanned from 1956 to 1991 with Old Neighborhood Foods where he held the position of Sales Manager. 

Mr. Papazoglou and his wife Vi have four children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
