Robert Attanasio

Babe Ruth League President/CEO Steven Tellefsen said, "Bob has been involved with our program for over 37 years.  Our volunteer network is the lifeblood of our organization.  Bob has proven this to be true many, many times.  His dedication has helped enrich the experience of many Babe Ruth participants throughout the New England Region."

Robert began his affiliation with Babe Ruth League, Inc. in 1970 as North Section Commissioner.  He was responsible for growing the 16-18 program throughout the New England Region.  In addition, Attanasio directed and worked on several 13-15 and 16-18 state and regional tournaments, as well as many Babe Ruth World Series committees.  In 1976, Bob was appointed as a New England Advisor, a position he still holds today.  When Babe Ruth Softball was instituted, Attanasio served on the original Rules Committee.  His background as a coach and manager for three professional women's teams made him a valuable asset in helping establish the first set of rules and regulations for Babe Ruth Softball.

Robert Attanasio joins more than 150 individuals and organization who have earned the distinction of being inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.
