The Babe Ruth International Board of Directors at their annual meeting held recently unanimously elected Raymond A. Lotierzo of Maple Shade, New Jersey, into its Hall of Fame.  BRL President/CEO Steven Tellefsen said, "Ray has been involved with our program for over 46 years.  Our volunteer network is the lifeblood of our organization.  Ray has proven this to be true many, many times.  His dedication has helped enrich the experience of many Babe Ruth participants."

Lotierzo began his affiliation with Babe Ruth League in 1965, serving at the local league level as a League President, Treasurer and Team Manager.  After leaving the local league level, he held the positions of District Commissioner, Assistant State Commissioner and State Commissioner for the Southern New Jersey Babe Ruth Leagues.  From 1996 to the present, Lotierzo has been serving as the Middle Atlantic Regional Commissioner and a member of the International Board of Directors of Babe Ruth League, Inc.

Lotierzo has spent the better part of his life involved in the Babe Ruth program.  His biggest supporter throughout his many years has been his wife Barbara.  Barbara has stood by her husband's side at all of the meetings, games, tournaments and awards ceremonies.  Ray Lotierzo is just one of those volunteers who stand head and shoulders above the rest.  His enthusiasm can be seen not just by the many years of involvement in youth baseball.  His commitment lies deeper.  Look closely and you see the devotion in the tired hands that have spent countless hours preparing, overseeing and teaching the many participants along the way.  Listen carefully and you can hear the words of wisdom and inspiration the man speaks to anyone who is smart enough to listen.  Some of Lotierzo's most enjoyable times have been spent at the ballpark where, due to the fruits of his labors, he was able to watch youngsters play the game and have fun.

Raymond Lotierzo joins more than 200 individuals and organization who have earned the distinction of being inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.
